A new years to REALLY forget

This new years, I had my own party on the beach. So we were having a good time, and then it started to RAIN! We had to go get a tarp from home, and then we realized it wasn't big enough, so we went to get ANOTHER one! Once we came back with the big tarp, it stopped raining. My dad was so mad, but I tried to make the best of it. Later on, around 8:00 p.m. I wanted to give my friend Sarah a piggy back, and so she jumped on my back and it turns out that my back was having a spasm at the same time, so we went falling backwards on Sarah's back. Luckily she cushioned my fall, but I still hurt my back A LOT! And then I was running around in the dark when I stepped on a dead puffer fish. That's when things got really bad. They had to take out the spikes, and then they soaked my foot in this stuff that made it really sting, and I cried. Then the fireworks FINALLY came! I didn't really enjoy them, because I was in a lot of pain. Then I had to walk home and I stubbed my toe so hard I swear I broke it! I cried a lot, and I wasn't happy. In total, the best part of new years, was going to sleep.

Mashups!

A mashup is a mix of different songs to make a new song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLDZ_zfQ2fM&feature=related and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_AklBD1E_c&feature=related I don't know any good mashups... here are two interesting ones I found :)
What makes a mashup good is when the different songs blend together like a real song. What makes a mashup bad, is when you don't blend the songs together, and you can tell that something is isn't right. Sadly, I didn't find any sites with tips :(
People who make mashups are true musicians. They have to know the beat of a song to match in with another.

My artifact from the future

I decided to do a bubble maker that makes the bubbles in really cool shapes. I chose this because I love bubbles. I recently learned how to make them, using normal soap. I imagine a kid blowing bubbles, and around him/her is millions of shaped bubbles. I hope my idea works out.

How my family reunion would be!!!

This is my family tree. Unfortunately, I've never had a family reunion, but this is how I always imagined it. I would walk in to find all of my family members from my dad's side, because I haven't seen a lot of them since I was about 5 or 6 years old, and they would all welcome me with warm hearts. They would be interested in how I've been these past years. I would talk to my cousins Claire and Alida, and all of my other cousins.

I can also imagine a family reunion with my mom's side of the family. I would be speaking French, and I would be joking around with my cousin Lucas, and we would have a blast!

My beautiful tree!!!

I chose this tree because it's really peaceful. My family isn't dramatic and I believe that my family is as bautiful as this tree. I love my family, and in my family, we love sunsets, so it's a perfect match :) I love this tree and I'm sure my family would agree!

JOY

J: Something I just did is I got my permit to dive anywhere I want, with an instructor. I got a bad head ache and an ear infection after, but it was still very fun. It's and experience I will never forget. Being able to breathe under water is awesome, and I never wanna stop diving! I also went to Alaska and had a fun time!
O: One thing I would like to do for myself, is to get over my phobias, because I'm so scared of things, so I decided that I will get over my phobias. It's the least I can do for myself, because I feel like my sanity depends on it in a way, because it gets harder for me to fall asleep, every night. For instance, I believe in ghosts, and I get scared when I hear voices that aren't the voices of my parents. I won't sleep for a long time... So that's why I'm gonna get rid of them if I can.
Y: A part of me that makes me special... I think that it would be how unique I am... I'm an original and I don't copy others, and I love being unique. Being a copy of someone is being superficial. I'm also crazy! I love to say weird things, and I'm random.

My MAP test grades

I am really happy with my grades! I have a pass in every test! I am going to have a free SPIRIT DAY!!! I got way higher grades than I expected!!!!!!!! I am really proud of myself! I did good on every test... I couldn't have made myself prouder!!!!!!!!!

Presentations

I think that if I had saw those presentations earlier I would have changed somethings... I would have added animation to my presentation. I also would have added in stuff about the teachers. I think that JP had the best though. He has pictures of almost every teacher! I wish I could have had one as good as his! I like Sebastian's idea... It's cute and funny... He has animals on his and it's funny. Bego's presentation was precise and has good information...

PowerPoint Rules

The 8 PowerPoint Rules...

In a good PowerPoint you don't write down all the words you're going to say. You have to do a spelling check. You shouldn't use too many bullet points because the main point of the page will be lost. In your presentation, use colors that have a high contrast because if you put colors that are similar, you can't see much. If you use too many slides, then you may have lost the main points in your presentation. If you have too much data, then you most likely confused the person watching it. It you have too much animations, the whole PowerPoint is ruined. And finally when you use a confusing font, the PowerPoint is pretty much pointless.

Peer evaluations

I think that evaluating another persons work is a good experience. If I could change something in my video, it would be the credits because I put the last name of the people who helped us.

Free Hugs Biography

Free Hugs is currently living in HippieVille and it's so fun because it's super colorful and all the residents are always intune. It is in The Peace Nation. She is dropdead gorgeous. She is famous and loves to act and sing. :) She loves to smile and has had a good life. She loves Hippie stuff and Hindu things like insence. She is a Hippie. She believes in Angels. She is freewilled and loves a lot of things.

Rotoball

The rotoball was really cool and I really liked it. Its really cool to see all the different ideas. I really can't wait to do it next year! I feel really inspired to do really creative things next year!!! I liked them all!!! It would be really hard to choose which one is the best!!! I also loved the music. It goes well with the Rotoball people!!!

Prompt 123

Things I can do in 3 minutes is go on Farmville...Laugh my head off watching a video on YouTube. Go to the bathroom, eat some food while talking on the phone while watching TV...Uhh... Chat with friends on Facebook, update status on Facebook. I can brush my teeth, wash my face at the same time...Talk to a friend on Skype and listen to music...and...uhh...dance like a madwoman to Justin Bieber...Jump in the pool and then take a quick shower...Breathe(you know...inhale and exhale)...

One thing I like to do in 3 minutes is watch a video that's so funny that I will pee my pants!!! :0 Put stickers on cars of people I don't even know... put stickers on my face and pretend I have sticker pox!(VERY FUN IF YOU ACTUALLY TRY IT!!!!!!:D!!!!!!) Make a peanut butter jelly sandwich and drink water!!! :P Make a video of you dancing with stickers on your face(super fun) and post it on Facebook!

As you see you can do a lot of things in 3 minutes. There are even millions of other things you can do so don't think that it's impossible. And they can also be very fun! So one day maybe you should try it!!! Just remember to have fun!

sixth sense

I think that this project is cool and very significant. It'll be the next iPhone, but even better. I will most likely want one. I would want one because it looks easy to use. I also think that its going to be popular and anything that's popular everyone going to have it. It will most likely impress everyone(including me).

The greatest thing about this technology is that it's portable. Portable is what everyone wants and some people who work all the time really need it. Maybe a limitation is it being used too much and it may break a lot. Also how to we make it... Do we make them like he did? Or will the supply's to make it be in stores? Or will we buy the thing already assembled???

"Open Source" is where people download software that other people an download on their computers. It's cheap and easy. A pro of putting software is people respect what you made and use it. A con is that they change it to their own thing.

Christmas Vacation

This Christmas I went back to Alaska. I visited a lot of friends and I also visited my Aunt Karen. I spent most of my time with my best friend Sarah. We had a lot of fun. We played in the snow a lot. We also stayed up all night playing a game called Champions of Norath on the PlayStation 2.

I spent my birthday with my 3 friends. I had the best birthday ever!!! My 3 friends are Katelyn (the one to the far left) who is in gymnastics and is very advanced at it. Katelyn loves animals and is a very nice person. Sarah (the blonde with glasses) is my best friend. She is a very caring person who also loves animals and nature. And finally Breanna. Breanna is really energetic an is also in gymnastics at a high level. She love monkeys and bananas.

I went to Sarahs dads house and Sarah, Myranda (Sarah's stepsister) and I had a blast. We found the case of the movie The Grudge 2 and we freaked out. We were screaming for about an hour. We were all nuts. We even scared Sarahs little sister Abby. Then I pretended to get possesed by the Grudge and Abby accidently broke my pinky.

Facebook security

Facebook is a popular place to go when you have the time. Not only has Facebook changed their policy, they also changed the rules. It makes Facebook much more dangerous because it shows a lot of private information. The new security program was created because they think it makes Facebook faster and more accurate. I personally think that it was a huge mistake to change the security. I will probably be more careful on what I post on Facebook.

Typing

The thing I probably did the best is the accuracy. I don't think we should do it every day because it makes me worse. It really frustrates me. I don't know the difference at all. Well, I know I am going to get worse so I don't have a goal but I would like to get a 98% in accuracy.
